I am not, of course, referring to England's disappointing performance in the 2010 World Cup of Football but, instead, to the cricket.
In a nail biting finish that went to the last few minutes of play, the England cricket team went 3-games-to-nil up against Australia in a 5-match series. Australia, currently ranked as world champions, have therefore already lost and are facing a possible 5-0 defeat.
Added to this is the fact that England won the T20 World Cup last month (see my post 'Engerland, Engerland, Engerland...') and have an extremely good chance of winning the ICC World Cup in India in 2011.
I think (just my opinion) that if they beat Australia in the Ashes series this Winter, it would pretty much cement England's position as the best cricket team in the world.
So, don't be too quick to take the England flags off your car. Consider, instead, giving cricket a go. Right now, it's like being a Brazilian football fan.
